This website, Cornwall Solar Panels, is operated by Renewable Energy Services Team Ltd (“REST UK”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11426161). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this site, why, and what rights you have over it.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or otherwise get in touch, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, address, postcode and contact details, along with details about your property, roof and electricity use, and the system you’re interested in. We also collect standard website usage data (such as pages visited) via analytics tools.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and take the steps you request before entering into a contract with us. If you go ahead with an installation, we also use it to manage the survey, installation, payments, warranties and any ongoing customer support.
Our lawful basis for processing
We rely on different lawful bases depending on the situation: performing a contract with you (or taking steps at your request before one is entered into), our legitimate business interests in responding to enquiries and operating this site, our legal obligations, and your consent where we specifically ask for it.
Who we share it with
We may share your information with our installation and survey partners, equipment manufacturers and distributors, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and relevant certification or consumer-protection bodies, where this is necessary to deliver your quote or installation. We don’t sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Where a website enquiry doesn’t lead to an installation, we review it for deletion after 24 months of inactivity. Installation records are kept for at least six years after our relationship with you ends, to meet our legal, warranty and insurance obligations.
Cookies and this site’s map
Our “Areas We Cover” page embeds an interactive map using OpenStreetMap tiles. Loading this map means your browser makes a request directly to OpenStreetMap’s servers, which is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation’s own privacy policy. We also use standard analytics cookies to understand how visitors use this site.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it’s wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to request a portable copy of it, subject to the usual legal exceptions. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
